Old Ironsides

We hopped on the Boston trolley bus:






And followed the Freedom Trail to the USS Constitution:













The Constitution is the oldest commissioned war ship afloat in the world. She received the nickname 'Old Ironsides' when the HMS Guerriere, a British 38 gun frigate, shot canons at her 3 layer, 24 inch thick hull and they bounced off doing very little damage!
